Robert Halvarsson / Suecae Sounds I have longed for so long to see this album go public. Now it's here, and it is brilliant. I know of no artist that is able to do what Diazo does on Broken hearted jubilee. Favorite track: The Scarlet Dancer Concerto.

about

Originally entitled "Catholicon", which means universal remedy, my first album was to be a collection of tracks that I had written while attending college and traveling abroad. However, as life will inevitably do, everything came crashing down. A number of catastrophes happened, one right after the other. Then quite unexpectedly, my 11 year relationship fell apart. I felt like I had lost everything. The only thing I could do was write. I scrapped the first album and began composing what is now Broken Hearted Jubilee (lyrics to one of my favorite Paul McCartney songs "Junk"). When I was young, I had always joked about how amazing it would be to have a soundtrack to my life. Broken Hearted Jubilee became that soundtrack during my darkest hours. I share this album as a journal of my life; honest as I can recall and most definitely skewed into my own perspective. I have tried my best to retell melodically the fall of a relationship, the emotions, blame, and sorrow that follow. Perhaps even the glimmer of hope that rest beneath it all.

Thank you for listening to my work, it means the world to me.

about

diazo Los Angeles, California

Hello, and thanks for listening to my work. There is no better feeling then hearing my music connected with you. I started writing when I was 12 on the guitar. When I was about 16 I taught myself piano and really began composing. It wasn't until I was 19 and bought a copy of reason that I really began writing real songs. I used to play live frequently, I really should do that again ... more
